Pumpkin Carving Party

On Sunday, we invited the Biggie's and the Gonzales's over for a last-minute pumpkin carving party. Why not eat some bagels and donuts, drink some mimosas and beers, and just have a great time while carving our pumpkins? To be honest, we spent very little time on our pumpkins, but we did manage to carve Ben's, Reagan's, and Emery's pumpkins (Jim and I did ours later). Instead, we used our time together to let the kids play, bake some pumpkin seeds, sit outside in the hot weather, catch up, and there may have been a shot or two of Goldschlager taken. :)

Ben and Lauren starting the pumpkin carving
Ben and Reagan each had their own scraper and kid-friendly knife
The Biggie's going for a design this year
Jim cutting the top off of Ben's huge pumpkin
The Gonzales's get in on the action
Overhead shot
Apparently Ben liked something I carved :)
Good times with friends, but where did the kids go???
They were busy inside - coloring
So nice to see them all play together
The adults relaxing with beverages
The little ones watching Toy Story
Relaxing after a job well done
Finished!  Ben, Emery, and Reagan
Jim getting to his pumpkin later that evening
The Frisbee pumpkins!
Christine, Ben, and Jim
Ben showing off our masterpieces
Some attempts with no flash...
