Hotel Del at Christmastime

Jim and I explored Hotel Del two years ago when I was pregnant with Ben. It is gorgeous - they have thousands of white lights outside, a huge tree in the Lobby and an ice skating rink set up. Of course the rink is always so wet from melting ice (hello it was in the 70's today!), but it is fun to people watch and feel some sense of winter. Fast forward 2 years and today we took Ben to the Hotel Del so we could experience the beauty as a family. Ben had fun in is own way - playing on the stairs, running around the shops and riding on Jim's shoulders. We didn't stay very long because Ben had a meltdown when we wouldn't let him play with the dressing room doors anymore (terrible 2's anyone?). But it was fun to check it out again and we got to witness a gorgeous sunset.
On our way to see the Del

Looks beautiful - that was always so much fun! Too bad Ben didn't last long but that's the world we live in huh?! In a few years he can get out and spin around the ice :)
