Rocket Fun & a Picnic

Ben got this cool rocket launcher thing for his birthday so a few weeks ago, we walked down to a nearby park and tried it out. It actually worked really well (minus the streamers that were annoying). It was funny to watch Ben try and catch it when Jim sent it way into the air!

For my birthday weekend, Jim asked me what I wanted to do.  I said a picnic sounded fun.  We used to go on lots of picnics before Ben was born and when he was a baby, but haven't been on many since.  We packed up our basket with sandwiches and a Lunchable for Ben, brought a blanket, Ben's bike, a soccer ball, Oliver's playmat, his carseat, and the Snap N Go (a little more gear these days!) and had a great time at the park.  We were there for a couple of hours - just eating lunch, napping in the shade, and Jim and Ben went over to feed the ducks and play on the playground for a while.  We had a great time and will definitely be doing that again.
