Carrot (A Friend's Birthday Party)

A couple of weekends ago, Ben was so excited to go to Eloise's birthday party. Ben and Eloise used to be in pre-school together (since Ben started right when he turned 2) and they are so sweet together. Eloise switched to a French American school last September and Ben was so sad to see her go. They have always gotten along so well and it was nice to have another kid who was on the smaller side like Ben! :)

They call each other "carrot" and I can't even remember why or how it started because it was so long ago.  But we see Eloise every now and then because she lives down the street from Ben's school and then she came to Ben's birthday party in February.  I wasn't sure how much attention Ben would get from Eloise at her party because all of the kids from her new school were there, but they were attached at the hip!  Eloise wanted to sit by Ben at lunch and played with him the whole time and was his partner in the 3-legged race.  It was so cute.

Ben had a blast at her mermaid and pirate party at a park.  His favorite part was the treasure hunt where they split up into 3 teams and followed clues until they found their treasure.  Ben's team found one of the pinatas (yes, there were 2!).  What a great party and fun for Mommy to spend some one-on-one time with Ben too. :)

Off they go!  It was hilarious - they kept falling down.
