Vacation Bible School Week!

Last week, Ben's school (which is part of a church) held their week-long VBS (Vacation Bible School). I heard they had about 300 extra kids running around that week (older kids). The school decided to let the younger ones "participate" in the daily fun activities - they had Crazy Hair Day, Crazy Hat Day, Crazy Sunglasses Day, and Class Color Day. The kids definitely had fun with it - Ben loved wearing the colored hairspray in his hair and actually wore his crazy hat for once!

The week ended with a big carnival on the grassy area above the school. The younger kids could only attend with their parents, so Jim and I met at the school so Ben could check it out. It started at noon, so after about 30 minutes, he was rubbing his eyes and so tired, but he didn't want to leave! They had 4 bounce houses, a swing ride, carnival games, a dunk tank, a hotdog lunch, and snow cones to order! We were impressed with the turnout and Ben must have thought it was the best day of school ever. Jim had the rest of the day off, so he took Ben home for a long nap!
