While my Mom was visiting her brother and sister in Indiana, Jim, Ben and I spent the weekend up in OC with my Dad. We had Addison's first birthday celebration in Newport Beach on Saturday, so we just decided to make a weekend out of it. We had a great time. Friday night Ben helped my Dad get rid of the gophers by putting raisins, carrots, and poison (Papa did the poison) into their holes in the backyard. Saturday morning Jim and my Dad went golfing, so Ben and I went to Starbucks and the park. He specifically said he wanted to go to the BIG RED SLIDE park that we had first discovered at Easter. This park has 2 of the biggest slides I have ever seen at a park. The first time we went, Ben didn't try them. This time he backed out the first time he went up, but after playing for a while, he was ready to go down them! I helped him climb the ladder to the top, then ran back down to the bottom of the slide before he went. He flew down! It was hilarious. He had a terrified look on his face as he came down, but once he was at the bottom, he was nothing but smiles and gave me a big hug to acknowledge he had done it! It was so cute. Saturday afternoon we had Addison't birthday party (and got to check out the Bond's new digs in Newport). Ben was in heaven with another bounce house and we enjoyed catching up with the Walker's and Biggie's. Sunday was more time at a park, then fun in the pool and hottub.

Bringing a gift to Addison
Too bad he thought it was for him later when Addison opened it - lol!
Pool fun
Splashing each other with the noodles
Ben pretending to find Marine Iguanas and feeding them red seaweed (Octonauts-obsessed)
Papa "breaking an egg" on Ben's head
Ben LOVED it and asked him to do it OVER and OVER
Cutie pie
Here's a picture of the slides I took at Easter - they are no joke!
