Last Sunday we spent our afternoon at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. We don't usually go in the afternoons, so the long line for the Tram Tour was a little shocking (we decided to skip it this time around even though Ben loves it). Even with that hiccup, we actually stayed at the park for the longest amount of time since we started going there (several trips with our season passes). Ben actually took some interest in seeing the monkeys this time (it helped that one sat right at the rope and stared at us), he loved running around in the splash pad, we all enjoyed a lemon lime slushie, we got an upclose look at the lions, and best of all, Ben loved a bird show that we decided to pop into last minute. I never thought he would sit and listen, but he loved the tricks the birds did and the fact that the show was really short helped! Ben also rode the carousal, then watched some dancers performing on stage, and lastly saw a porcupine and hedgehog up-close.

He was pretending to smack its butt - lol!
