Everyone always wonders if you should throw a baby shower for baby #2, 3, etc. I guess people don't want to seem greedy, like they're just having a party for the gifts. But it seems odd to me that only baby #1 would have a big celebration. Every baby is such a blessing and should be celebrated like the miracle that he/she really is. That's when I stumbled onto this new thing called a baby SPRINKLE. Basically a scaled-down shower. What a great concept - you still have a small get together with close friends and family to enjoy this amazing time before the baby arrives, but people bring much smaller gifts. It's more of a time to re-connect with family and friends and allow them to "sprinkle" the mother-to-be (again!) with love and support.
I threw a Baby Sprinkle for Tracy this past weekend (with help from Lauren and Lisa). She is due with a little boy on December 15th. It was so nice to spend a couple of hours with some wonderful women, and sprinkle Tracy and her baby boy with our love, excitement and also a few goodies! Tracy - can't wait to meet your little guy.
