Pumpkin Time

I was never a big fan of Halloween in the past. I always waited until the last minute to throw my costume together, it seemed like a lot of energy to decorate the house for one night of running from house to house to fill a pillowcase full of candy, and the last few years Jim and I left the house to see the lastest SAW release to get away from the chaos. Now that Ben is here, as with almost all aspects of our life, this holiday seems much more fun and exciting.

With the weather dramatically changing to signal the start of Fall, we are embracing Halloween with open arms. We have plans of visiting Pumpkin Patches, checking out the Carlsbad Halloween event and then attending the big Hallopalooza taking place down the street from our apartment. We started the festivities this past weekend when we went to the Pumpkin Station in Del Mar. I figured we might last an hour, but Ben was having a BLAST and we actually had to cut our visit short to get somewhere else so guess where we'll be heading again this weekend???

Pumpkin Station
Me and Ben ready to pick our pumpkins!
First time on the swings - not sure at first
Once it started going, Ben loved it!
OK, now I'm getting bored (this one cracks me up!)
High five from Dad makes it fun again

Why won't they let me play with the gates? Geez.
Jim and Ben having fun Deciding on a favorite...

Such a strong guy!
Am I tall enough for the rides? Yep, you're good buddy.

It's a mini one - Jim looks like a giant on it!
Petting Zoo! This time he loved it.
He was poking them with the hay - hahaha.
He thought it was hilarious to touch their tails
Ben LOVED the chicken - he was trying to touch him and feed him

Trying to feed the big sheep

Ben's first attempt on a blow-up slide - Jim helped him up

And end with a face plant! He loved it and went a few times till he wore Jim out!
One more ride on the swings before leaving
What a great time we had!
