Big Boy Underwear

Ben showed an interest in the potty several months back, but has yet to actually use the toilet at any time and the interest has faded in the meantime. We thought for sure being at school with other potty-trained kids would make him want to try, but no such luck. We actually are in no rush to push the potty-taining, but Ben's school really wants parents to start at around 2 1/2 and he can't move into the next class (3's) until he is fully potty-trained. Jim bought him a "potty' book a couple of weeks ago and he LOVES it; he wants to read it every night. So last weekend we decided to go buy some big boy underwear, hoping he would really get excited. He completely ignored us and then when we got home, he wanted nothing to do with them and screamed when we tried on one pair just to make sure they fit. I talked to Ben's teacher about it and although we had planned on focusing on it big-time this past weekend, she felt he needed some more time and told us to wait until at least September. I gotta say I am relieved. Here are some pics from when we brought home the new underwear...

Can you tell he is not excited about this at all? :) Checking things out - could we have some interest? Nope, he wants nothing to do with them! We had some fun throwing them all on top of Ben! We got some smiles under there, I promise :)

Guess this is on hold for a month (at least)...
