B-E-N (no tracing) and B-E-D

Saturday, April 6th was full of milestones.  Ben wrote his name all by himself, without tracing over letters we had written, while Daddy was putting together his big boy bed!

Ben had brought home a couple of papers from school with his name on them that looked like he had written himself, but we weren't 100% positive because he had never done it at home for us.  So I asked him if he could do it on Saturday and he did!  It's so cool to see him write letters; I still can't quite believe Ben is getting so grown up.  The little "e" gives him some trouble, so he likes to stick to the big "E". :)

While Ben was writing his name, Daddy was putting together his new big boy bed!  Ben wanted to inspect his work to make sure all the screws were in tight!  Then we made the bed and he was so excited!  He has slept on blow-up mattresses before and then tried Grandma and Papa's queen bed Easter weekend, but now he finally has his own "big boy" bed.  We put the railing up the first night, but have since taken it off.  He has slept great with no problems!
