Jim, Ben and I took part in the March for Babies walk this past Saturday in Balboa Park. Jack in the Box has always been a big supporter of March of Dimes and Jim and I actually did the walk 2 years ago. This year, after having Ben (and also having friends struggle with babies born too soon), the event took on a whole new meaning for me. It was a celebration of life and our children and helping raise money to make sure that more mother's and father's get to experience the joy of parenthood as well. Jack's CEO was the chair this year, so we had a huge turnout of over 400 walkers and we raised $100,000 through donations and a contribution from the Jack Club. It was nice to see co-workers outside of the office and enjoying a beautiful Saturday with their families. Ben had a great time running around both before and after the walk and sat and enjoyed the festivites during the 5K walk. So awesome that Jack raised so much!!!! I thought you said $30,000 but you did $100,000 - wow!!! Ben looks so adorable in his shirt :) Love you guys - miss you like crazy!
