This past weekend Ben got to spend some quality time with his Grandma and Grandpa up in Orange County. We had planned on visiting for my brithday in March (we ended up at the hospital instead), then planned to go for Easter (my Mom was getting over bronchitus), then planned to go for my Dad's birthday earlier in April (a dear family member passed away in Indiana), but we finally made it this past weekend. We had a wonderful time together. My Mom and Dad spent a lot of quality time with Ben (including Sunday morning when it was just Ben and Grandpa!), Jim and my Dad went golfing while my Mom, Ben and I ran errands, then went to the local park. Saturday night once Ben went to bed, Jim and I had a little "date night" with dinner at Tutto Fresco. We got to celebrate our birthdays and then Sunday we went over to the big orange balloon where the Great Park is being built to check things out and go up in the balloon. Unfortuantely, the winds picked up and we weren't able to go up in the balloon, but we had a great time running around and playing soccer in the grass right next to it. The park is going to be amazing - it will be bigger than Central Park in NY with a golf course, baseball fields, walking trails, parks, museums and more. It should be done when Ben gets out of college! :)
