Too bad Oliver couldn't stay awake late enough to trick-or-treat or even greet our guests who came over to trick-or-treat with us this year! :) We put on his costume, took a few pictures outside, and then he was DONE - he was getting over a cold and was just exhausted. So he went to bed before our guests even arrived!
The Biggie's decided to come over last minute, and we had made plans to have the Baker's come over so Ben would have a buddy to trick-or-treat with this year (Brendan from soccer and school). We all had a great time hanging out, eating pizza, and having a few drinks before heading out. I decided to stay home while Oliver slept and just hand out candy to the neighborhood kids. The kids had a great time trick-or-treating in our neighborhood (the usual loop we do), and then Lauren and I took Reagan and Ben to a few houses in the other direction so I could be there for some of it (the Baker's had already left). We even went to a pretty scary haunted house that was all decorated - the kids were a bit scared but Lauren and I thought it was great - smoke randomly coming out, things making noises, the inside of the house decorated. etc.
And of course we ended the night by trick-or-treating at Teri's house and having her take our family picture (minus Oliver). What a fun night!
