Annual Del Mar Fair Trip

In Ben's short 5 years, we have brought him to the Del Mar Fair 4 times (we missed 2012 for some reason). It has become an annual tradition and one that I actually really enjoy. We always spend way too much money and have to deal with some pretty big crowds, but Ben just loves it and sometimes, that's enough for me.

This year was also Oliver's first time at the Fair and I have to say, this was probably the perfect year for us because Ben finally hit that magic 42" in height and could ride on all of the rides and Oliver was little enough (and not mobile) to just chill in the BOB or be held and be content with that.

For the second year in a row, we planned a day at the fair with the Biggie's.  We met up for lunch beforehand and Ben and Reagan were so great together all day - playing together at lunch, going on the rides together, sharing some cotton candy, and holding hands around the venue.  We let them go on a bunhc of rides and then ended our day with ice cream and beers in a grassy area with live music.  Oliver was entertained by the grass and the older kids had fun playing hide and seek and dancing to the music.

Looking forward to next year already! :)
