Two weekends ago, we went up to my parent's house in Orange County so that we could relax by the pool, Jim could play golf with my Dad, and we could get together with Devin, Steve, and their 3 kids. It has slowly become an annual tradition to go to the Lagoon in their community one time during the summer and we always have such a blast. It is the perfect set-up for families. There is sand like the beach, but the water is more like a swimming pool and the vast majority of it is super shallow so Ben and Jack can stand and play all they want. There are a few slides they can go down too and when they get to the water at the bottom, it is shallow enough for them to land by themselves.
Ben absolutely loved it. The boys played in the water most of the time while Devin and I chatted on the beach, while Jillian played with sand toys. After the lagoon, we went over to their house so the kids could play for a bit (and jump in the trampoline), and then they came over to my parent's house that evening for a BBQ and some yummy smores. The kids played so well together and had a great time. And little Jordan is just the sweetest baby that she was just there for the ride. :)
