After being out of the town for the last 3 weekends in a row (Thuerbach Reunion in OC, Labor Day in Denver, then Dave concert again in the OC), we were happy to spend a little time at home this past weekend. The triple-digit temps were not very pleasant, but we managed to stay fairly cool by going to the beach on Saturday and then going to the park early Sunday before the heat arrived.
We did a little yardwork, enjoyed a family movie night (popcorn and the Lorax), spent a lovely late morning at the beach (no pictures, just enjoyed the moment), had some fun at the park (first time Ben liked the big kid swings!), and I met with Ben's new teacher at his Open House.
