Oh my gosh, buddy, you are absolutely hilarious. You have this crazy Dr. Evil/woodpecker laugh that makes me crack up every time you do it. And now you know it, so you do it on purpose.
You can also be super whiny and I have a feeling "terrible 3's" might apply to you more than "terrible 2's" since 2 was a pretty easy age. You just want to test us on everything and we get a lot of "No I don't want to", then we say, "Oh, OK" and you immediately change tunes to "But, yeah I WANT TO!"
You absolutely love trains! You are obsessed with your big choo-choo train table, watching your new favorite show "Chuggington", and riding any train that we see.
You also still enjoy watching Bubble Guppies, SuperWhy, Team Umi Zoomi and Mickey Mouse in the mornings. The best part is you can sometimes get through an entire movie now. We have watched Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Tarzan, and The Polar Express a few times.
We love the fact that you seem to have several interests. You love to weed with Mommy. You enjoy playing soccer (although you throw the ball with your hands), love playing golf (still looking like a leftie at this point), will sometimes hit the baseball off the tee and now you are working on your basketball skills with your new hoop (you always say basketball is your favorite so we'll see!).
And music - man, you love music! You've never been a big dancer, but you love certain songs and you know the lyrics before we do! It's amazing how quickly you learn them. We listen to music to and from school everyday and there are about 20 songs we rotate.
Your Mommy and Daddy would say you're not the greatest eater, but your teachers would say otherwise! :) At home, we have a few staples you will eat: pancakes, yogurt, and bacon for breakfast, then dinner is always either chicken nuggets, mac n cheese, or spaghetti. You also like bananas, yogurt raisins, chocolate teddy bears, peaches, applesauce with cinnamon, cheese and crackers, and blueberries.
You are so smart. You know the main stores we visit by the color of the front doors! Target has red doors, CVS has orange doors, Toys R Us has yellow doors and Costco has no doors. So clever.
You definitely love your routines. We read books at night and you always pick one for Mommy to read and then Daddy to read. You have gotten really good at brushing your teeth with your Spiderman electric toothbrush. Then you always put on chapstick before bed. :)
You amaze us by STILL never getting out of bed. You know you can (I think - we're certainly not encouraging it!), but you don't. When you wake up from nap or in the morning, you just sit and talk or roll around and sing. It's wonderful.
Your imagination has really taken off lately. You will play by yourself and chat away, making up stories and almost talking your own language. You also think it's hilarious to make up funny words and everyone is a MEATBALL right now. You love that word.
Some of our favorite phases of yours are "No thanks, I'm good", "You guys are the best!", and they way you describe things as "cool". You love to repeat our house alarm when it says "Not ready to arm".
You are really good with your numbers and letters. You knew your letters at an early age (18 months) and still excel in that area. You love pointing out trucks on the road - fire trucks, dump trucks, and mail trucks - you spot them all!
You and Daddy love to rough house and play "fumble" with your football.
You are still working on potty training. You took to it right away when we first started in November, but we've hit some bumps along the road. It's 2 steps forward, one step back. We don't have many pee accidents at home, but school can be another story and we have a ways to go on the poop front. You'll get it little man.
One of Mommy's favorite things that you are doing more of is cuddling. You haven't been a super cuddly baby or toddler, but you enjoy sitting on our laps when you watch TV and now you like to sit on Mommy's lap while you eat your breakfast at school. I have to admit I love it. You love to have "cozies on your feet" with your blanket and that little blue bunny of yours is never very far from sight.
A couple of weeks ago, you looked right at Mommy and just said, "I love you so much Mommy". Not in return to me saying it to you first, but just on your own.
We love you too, buddy, so much.
