On Saturday, we met up with Jim's mom and the Meiers for some lunch at Buster's in Seaport Village. The food was great, and although the weather wasn't the best, the view was still very nice!

On Saturday night, we went to dinner with Jim's mom and the Meiers at Karl Strauss Brewery in La Jolla. It's one of our favorite places, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. The Meiers presented Ben with a few early christening gifts (2 stuffed puppies, some mini Crocs, and a framed birth announcement). The framed birth announcement was great since we hadn't done that yet, and can't wait to get it hung up...Thank you again Meiers!

On Sunday morning, we woke up early to get Ben ready for his big day! He was so patient and such a great baby to have in church. Although he made himself known to the church a few times with his fussing outbursts, he got through most of the sermon and the christening without any big interuptions. We're so lucky that he is such an easy baby to have with us in public - never a hassle and always getting adoration from everyone. Ben's Great-Grandmother, MaMere, sent him a very cute outfit that we thought was perfect for the occassion and we had him dressed in it for most of the day. For the christening, Ben's grandmother, Judy, had created a christening gown from her wedding dress. It was such a treat to have something so special for such a special occassion. Ben looked great in it and even thought it tasted pretty good too!

Although it got a little drooled on, Ben's christening gown looked great and got many compliments

Of course Ben fell asleep at the end of the christening, so he was out-cold during all the pictures taken afterwards...

After the Christening, we all went into La Jolla for brunch at Brockton Villa, a great restaurant that overlooks the cove. It turned out to be a beautiful day, so it was a perfect setting for this special day.

After brunch we walked down by the La Jolla cliffs for a short while to see the seals and enjoy some more of the day. We headed back to our house afterwards to relax.

It turned out to be such a great weekend with our families here to celebrate with us. Thank you so much to all of you for making the trip out here for the occassion and for all your very thoughtful and kind gifts. We always love seeing you and hope we get to see much more of you in the future. Happy Father's Day to all the father's out there, we hope your day was as fun and special as ours!
