Memorial Weekend Fun

We had a very busy Memorial Day weekend - we saw several friends and got outside as much as possible to soak up the great weather and scenery.

Friday afternoon we decided to set up a little picnic in La Jolla - we snacked on crackers, cheese and wine and Ben enjoyed his bottle! :)

Does it get any better than this?
Cheers!

And back in his own hat - "Heartbreaker"

Back home for some play time with his new toy in his chair

And then a bath to end the evening

Saturday we went over to Brady's mom's new house in Solana Beach. The house sits right on the cliff and has a stunning view of the ocean. Brady grilled some carne asada and we had a great time. We also finally got to meet little Charlotte (Charlie) - Eric and Jen's adorable daughter. She is a little more than a month younger than Ben. She was all decked out in her LAKERS onesie and Guess jeans - so cute! I think Ben has his first crush.....

Sunday we spent all day with friends at Kate Sessions Park. The park is at the top of a hill that has an incredible view of the bay, the ocean, and even downtown in the distance. The wind made it a bit chilly, but it was gorgeous in the sun and we had a great time playing games, grilling and catching up with friends. Ben was a superstar all day, hanging out in the shade, taking little catnaps and even getting in on some blongoball action (see below!).

Ben's turn to eat!

Monday we went down to Pacific Beach and ate at one of our favorite breakfast spots - The Eggery - and then took a nice long walk along the boardwalk. It was pretty crowded down at the beach, but nothing like the pre-alcohol-ban days!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

What a great weekend. I love the pics of you guys at your picnic spot!

You look amazing, Chris! Like you never had a kid and Ben, oh my goodness! He's a doll. I can't believe he's holding his head up like that already! What a champ.
