Back in the beginning of August, Jim's sister Kirsten, and her family decided to vacation in San Diego so we got to see them a couple of times throughout their stay (and they got to meet little Oliver for the first time). They came by our house one evening and then we met up with them over the weekend in Coronado since they were staying at the Hotel Del. We had so much fun seeing them and playing at the beach and in the hotel pool. Ben had a blast with his cousins and Oliver kept everyone entertained. :) Wish we could see them more often.

Yet another birthday party at Pump It Up. This one was for Kasen, Ben's really good buddy at school. It was also after Ben's last day at his pre-school, so it was the last time he was going to see most of these kids.
Ben and I had a "Mommy and Me" day before Kindergarten started. We started the day building "creative" Legos and then spent some time at the skatepark.

...but he got right back up and tried again and loved it!

We went to Orange County for a weekend to take some family photos (my parents buy them at a charity auction every now and then) and then just hang out. We took the pictures in Laguna Beach and it was a gorgeous night. The last time we took these type of photos Ben was Oliver's age - 5 years ago!

Labor Day weekend we went to the beach on Saturday and then our friend's pool party on Sunday. It was a fun, mellow, but busy weekend.
