Jim Turns 37

On August 13th, we celebrated Jim's birthday with a nice, quiet evening at home.  Since it fell on a weeknight, we pretty much just stuck to our usual routine and then opened presents and had ice cream cake after Oliver went to bed. :)

Ben painted a special robot bank for Jim this year and his cards and drawings just keep getting better and better.  His envelopes had "Ben *heart* D" for Ben loves Daddy and "Ben *heart D, OM *heart* D" for Ben loves Daddy and Oliver/Mommy love Daddy on them.  So sweet.

In addition to the mellow night at home, Jim and I went out to dinner alone that weekend in Huntington Beach after visiting our friends Jordan and Amy (and seeing their new baby), and then the following weekend we went to see Jason Mraz in concert - we definitely celebrated "Jim-mas" this year and he deserves it. :)
