My Panda

Since we bought season passes, we really try and make an effort to go explore the Zoo whenever we get a chance. We have been a handful of times now and usually when we go, Ben will look at a couple of the animals, but then he just wants to run around and explore (check out the doors, trashcans and water fountains in particular!). We always run right past the Panda exhibit, much to Jim and my dismay. But now that Ben's stuffed Panda given to him by Nana and Gramps has become one of his favorite buddies, things were different this time around. We just happened to park in the Panda section and Ben noticed the picture right away and yelled PANDA! We asked him if he wanted to go see the pandas and he got super excited. Nothing along the way was good enough, he only wanted to see the pandas! :) We waited in line (thank goodness it was short) and finally got to see the pandas. Ben was jumping with excitement and shrieking with delight. It was great. Of course he didn't want to leave the exhibit, which meant a lot of yelling "MY PANDA!" as we left. LOL! We rounded out our day at the Zoo with a pitstop for hotdogs and then a short visit to the petting zoo area.

We spotted a peacock in full feather display!
