Today Jim got a last minute ticket to go to the Chargers game, so Ben and I headed to the Birch Aquarium. We had never been before and it's a great little aquarium for kids. Ben was still a bit too small for most of the exhibits and since he loves water so much, he was more interested in getting IN the water than checking out the fish/marine life inside, but we still had a wonderful time. We saw the seahorse exhibit, the shark exhibit, the tidepools, and played in the water table and with some of the interactive displays. Of course most of the time, Ben completely ignored the fish and instead focused on one of his strange obsessions...DOORS.
This kid LOVES opening and closing doors, sliding doors, closet doors and cabinet doors. Crazy guy! Maybe he'll appreciate the fish when he's a bit older. :)
