7 months old

Ben turned 7 months old on September 19th. He had his "6-month" well baby visit recently and he weighed 16 pounds, 1.5 ounces (10%) and was 26.5 inches long. I asked his pediatrician if it was OK that he was so low in weight and she said it's perfectly normal once they start moving to drop percentiles and he has always been about 20%. Ben is super strong, so I swear it is all muscle!

Ben is growing into such a fun, happy little man. He is crawling all over the place now and pulling himself up onto everything - tables, toys, boxes, our safety gate, the front door screen, even just walls! He definitely likes to explore. Some other recent developments:
- we are still waiting for those first teeth to pop through - poor guy has been teething for about 4 months now and has some rough days and nights
- he's doing great with his naps, but sleeping through the night has not been happening as of late. We think it's the teething, but who knows. He wakes up a couple times at night now crying and we can usually get him back to sleep, but not always......
- he also tends to wake up at around 5am and we bring him into bed with us to snooze a little longer!
- eating solids is taking some getting used to for Ben - he's pretty good with the rice and oatmeal cereal, but introducing other foods has not been very successful. We've tried avocado, peas, sweet potatoes and pears and he wasn't too happy about it
- he does, however, love PUFFS! :)
- Ben loves one of his books we received from Jim's family friends - he never gets sick of it - see picture below.

Having fun on Dad's shoulders

First time tasting avocado - YUCK!

Tried to get a 7-month shot with the bear - Ben was having too much fun attacking him!

Always climbing on stuff

He explores everywhere!
