6 weeks!

Ben turned 6 weeks old last Thursday and we couldn't be more enamored with our little guy. He is really starting to show his great personality and give us some giant smiles. It makes my heart melt every time. Here are some highlights of the things going on in our lives right now:

* we're getting lots of social smiles now
* he definitely recognizes Mom and Dad
* he's tracking objects with his eyes
* he loves holding his head up and standing up on his toes
* he's really good about tummy time - doesn't mind being on his tummy at all and we have to make sure he doesn't fall asleep like that sometimes!
* he's a great sleeper - we usually get up for a feeding once or twice a night
* he loves sleeping with Mom and/or Dad in the mornings
* he's outgrown most of his newborn onesies and sleepers and is now in 0-3 months clothes - can't believe he's getting so big! :(
* he's losing all of his newborn hair on the top of his head
* he makes all kinds of little noises and coos
* he's the happiest in the mornings right after he eats
* he's got what we call "kung-fu" arms and moves them around in a figgidy way, sometimes with closed fists like a boxer
* he likes taking little cat naps in his swing and loves the vibration setting on the bouncer!
