Wild Animal Park

Last Sunday marked the final day of our time off together as a family for the New Year's holiday, so we decided to take Ben to the Wild Animal Park for the first time. Jim and I had gone a couple of years ago and had a great time, so we thought it would be fun to take Ben. I couldn't remember if there was much for toddlers to do, but it turned out to be even more fun than I expected. Ben liked pointing out all of the animals, running around all of the open spaces, playing on the playground, going into the cage with all of the birds, and touching the antelope in the petting zoo. It was so cool to visit the Park again and see it through Ben's eyes.

All ready to explore the park (and the only time spent in the stroller!)
Walking around some of the back areas of the park
Me and Ben in front of the big open field with all kinds of animals
Ben getting a better view
Oops, he got a little too close to the railing!
Does it get any better than that smile?
Jim and Ben getting an even better look
Giraffes & Rhinos
One giraffe got a little too close to this tour group!
More exploring of the park
We found a cool little playground - Ben was having a blast!
Talking into the speaker
Riding on the alligator

Here he is
Inspecting a bird
There were birds everywhere!
This one was trying to eat Jim's vest!
Petting the deer
A little bigger than the sheep at Halloween... :)
