A wonderfully average evening

Tonight I broke out the camera to capture some of the fun things we do in the evenings after work/daycare now that Ben is almost 15 months old. I realized I no longer record many "firsts", but I really should because Ben is learning so quickly these days. He remembers everything and always surprises us with just how much he understands. It seems like he has learned or picked up some new "trick" almost every day.

We are so enjoying his wimpy little wave, when he blows us kisses, my open mouth kiss good-bye in the morning (so funny), his cute little clap, how he brings us books and then turns around to sit in our laps to read them, our ritual of looking at the fridge magnets after dinner, sharing my Cheerios every morning with him, how he turns off the TV when we say it's time to go or time for a walk, how he opens my closet door and helps me put my shoes away when we get home every day, how he can now point out his belly button, how he lays down on his blanket wherever it is when he is tired and his new trick of putting his toys away when we say so. We are basking in the ordinary and loving every minute of it.

Ben's latest find is the ring box in my closet

Getting those molars is no fun

Loves closing doors

"Show me your belly button"

Ben playing peek-a-boo - check out the little feet!

Oh, there he is!
